Abstract
Relief is a three dimensional object on a planar surface. Students articulate the basic circle by giving volume to make three dimensional compositions. These compositions are created within the circular shape but extended vertically to create three dimensional visual effects. The primary circle shape is extended to generate volumetric forms or spaces that are distinct and recognizable. The colour of the relief is monochromatic hence creating and enhancing an interplay of light and shadow which reveal the forms to its fullest advantage.
