Abstract
The third year Landscape Architecture students had an opportunity to travel to Bali and Jogjakarta, Indonesia. A tour programme is very important to students because the travel activities will make students more critical on what they are seeing during the treat including landscape, architecture or people. The works exhibited by the students clearly depict critical observations about the places they experienced and how a place affects its landscape. It is unfair to all students to say only few works are good. In fact, they are all good. The three works selected for STEDex are excellent ones. The works demonstrate students’ understanding of place and what makes it to be with “the place”. The works are abstracts full of meanings. However, we are happy with them for achieving their understanding about the influence of man over nature or landscape.
