Abstract
The second category also provides an array of visually stimulating, well designed and presented projects by the third and fourth year students of architecture. In many ways, architecture is a mediator of dichotomies. The CIQ-cum- transportation hubs (ferries, buses and taxis) with its diverse opposing needs is one good exercise for “conflict resolution”. On the almost an island site, rendering full building visiblity warranted more sculptural expressions. The “sculptures” of folded roofs, exotic seashell and flying shards thus sit quite fittingly on the site we found that even conventional buildings could look stunningly sculptural when placed on this spectacular site.
