Abstract

The painting portrays two human figures, expressing their struggle and pain through a war-like dance. This artwork symbolises the stress and tension of humans. The work emulates prehistoric cave paintings. Although the movement of these two human figures is soft, it successfully shows them struggling and in tension. The black colour used to highlight the two figures is appropriate for representing the chaotic moment of tension they are facing. The juxtaposition of black and white serves an expressive purpose while the contrast of black and white adds energy to the expressive drawing. Another design principles that is apponent is ‘balance’.
