Abstract

The proposed design for Green Housing at Pandamaran, Klang demonstrates a thorough and consistent approach which delivers a scheme that is buildable and practical. Perhaps on the conceptual side, the boundaries could have been pushed further and the overall layout’s almost symmetrical arrangement increases the formality of the scheme, thereby may benefit from a greater informality. The GREEN roofs of the apartment blocks have not been exploited to the maximum. Their arrangement, facing away from the river, is rather curious as the river frontage would presumably be one of the major assets of the site.
