Abstract

The scheme is reminiscent of post-merdeka modern Malaysian architecture, such as the Tugu Negara complex and the Masjid Negara, in its execution of water pools and concrete corridors. The spatial composition is similar in providing the desired experience not just around the functional spaces but also at the passages along those spaces. The proposal is relatively subdued in the context but consistent with the subtlety of its criteria for zen-like delight.
