Abstract

The “Safarica” is a symbolic representation of an African Safari environment. The concept “Safarica”, which is a combination of “Safari” and “Africa”, was heavily based from the Disney movie, Lion King. The stage integrated the shape of a lion’s head and detailing of trees and representation of the African jungle. The focal point of the stage is in the form of the Pride Rock similar to the movie. The savanna environment is further enhanced as the natural setting of the stage design with the use of appropriate earthy-coloured materials.
